Estonian Police and Border Guard cordially invites you to the International Search & Rescue Conference "SAR: Change Favours the Prepared", which will be held on board "Silja Europa" from 26-27 April 2018.
The conference will be held in English, and will focus on practices in maritime search and rescue both in Estonia and at international level.
The conference includes roundtrip ticket, accommodation and meals on board.
The conference starts on 26th April 2018 at 12:00. Departure of the ferry is planned at 12:30 from Estonia, Tallinn, Port D Terminal. The conference ends on 27th April 2018 at 11:00.

Maritime search and rescue is presently at the centre of attention due to the increase in the number of pelasure crafts, and the rising number of maritime accidents.
There is a ongoing global debate on developing more effective mass rescue operations and a response to chemical accidents at sea, while engaging key stakeholders and keeping abreast of thecnological developments in the field.
