In Helsinki over 21-22 June Government agencies and industry solution providers will be discussing key requirements and upcoming projects in the maritime SAR sector.

The event will act as the platform for the US Coast Guard to discuss their work with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in developing a GMDSS-style programme for the aviation industry as well as their current SAR operations in US waters and globally.

The agenda also includes ongoing projects from both the Swedish Coast Guard and NASA, looking into innovative rescue technology, along with a host of coast guards and rescue agencies analysing case studies and future strategies.
